Mainframe Professional Services : Project Manager

Summary of Role :

HCL Mainframe and DevOps Professional services team is looking for a Project Manager to help drive business growth through Professional services delivery. The HCL Software Lab Services team is a global

organization responsible for delivering Professional Services to enable customers to gain their business values quickly by implementing IBM and HCL Mainframe and DevOps products.

This position is of a Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams to deliver various Mainframe and DevOps projects on time and within budget.

You will be part of the Product Professional Services organization in HCL Software covering but not limited to DevOps, Mainframe products.

You will coordinate resources, manage risks, and ensure alignment between technical teams and business objectives for multiple projects being executed in product practices.

Role, Characteristics, and Responsibilities :

• Responsible for developing and maintaining Project Plan and keeping track of schedule for on time delivery as per the defined quality standards and address shortfalls.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
• Handle single to multiple accounts as required
• Able to take an issue, then plan and deliver a solution using own initiative, with little guidance.
• Can build strong relationships with consultants within the project.
• Strong experience to consult directly with customers and offer strategic advice to enable objectives
• Required Experience :
• Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery for various DevOps and / or other work stream
• initiatives using agile and / or hybrid methodologies.
• Define project scope, create detailed work plans, and set clear milestones and deliverables.
• Manage cross-functional teams including developers, data scientists, and external vendors.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and status
• reports.
• 12–15 years of project management experience, preferably with technology, DevOps projects
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Ensure resource allocation and budget adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
• Foster a collaborative environment and drive continuous process improvements.
