Job description

We’re hiring a hands-on DevOps Engineer for a high-precision migration and infrastructure setup project — moving multiple WordPress websites from A2 Hosting and Hostinger (Lovable) VPS servers to AWS Lightsail .

Beyond migration, the role involves implementing a Git-based architecture for version control, staging–production deployment, and long-term scalability.

This is a short-term engagement with potential for ongoing work and client-side DevOps placements.

Successful completion will open doors to long-term DevOps roles and client-side placements under enterprise-scale media and SaaS projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Migration

Migrate multiple WordPress websites from A2 Hosting / Hostinger VPS to separate AWS Lightsail instances .
Ensure 100% data integrity — full migration of files, databases, SSL, DNS, and routing.
Zero downtime during cutover; configure domain redirects, subdomains, and email routing if required.

2. Server Setup & Optimization

Set up and optimize Lightsail instances using Plesk or CyberPanel .

Fine-tune Nginx / Apache / LiteSpeed , PHP-FPM , Redis , and Object Cache configurations.

Establish caching architecture (page + object + CDN) for stable A-grade performance.

3. Performance Enhancement

Achieve GTmetrix / PageSpeed scores of A (90%+) across all sites.

Optimize asset loading, remove render-blocking scripts, enable lazy loading, and compress / minify resources.

Safely update outdated themes and plugins to stable, optimized versions.

Integrate CDN (Cloudflare or Lightsail CDN) and browser caching for global reach.

4. Git-Based Deployment Architecture

Design and set up Git-based version control for each project (staging → production branches).

Implement auto-deploy or webhook-based triggers for WordPress and MERN environments.

Connect instances to GitHub repositories , with branch-based deployment (staging and main).

Establish secure SSH key-based Git pull workflows with rollback safety.

Engagement Details

Timeline : 7-10days (strict deadline)

Compensation : Up to ₹10,000 based on timely and flawless delivery

Mode : Remote (coordination via WhatsApp / Zoom / Trello)

Continuation : High performers will be considered for extended DevOps contracts and placements with major clients.
