Network Technician

Experience : 3-4 Years in IT Network

Primary roles :

Responsible for Level 2 support and escalations for network and security issues.

Configure, install and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, load balancers, etc.

• Perform / coordinate maintenance and upgrades of network devices.

Good understanding of VTP and its implementations.

Understanding / familiarity of SD-WAN technologies would be an added advantage.

Good understanding of Cisco DataCenter technologies with experience in implementing and managing DataCenter networks is essential.

Good understanding and working knowledge of Remote Access VPN solutions.

Review daily reports and create actionable task lists.

Liaise with other teams for resolution of the issues.

Secondary roles :

Good understanding of Wireless technologies and their working, including implementation of Wireless controllers, integration with wireless authentication methodologies.

Proactively handle all network, wireless and security solutions or tools as required.

Good understanding of functioning of network monitoring tools and their integrations with the network / security devices.

Requirements :

Monitor network to ensure optimum performance, reliability, and availability.

Perform maintenance and upgrades of network devices.

Check on resource utilization for trending and capacity planning purposes.
