Role Overview

We're looking for a Hardware Product & Supply Chain Lead to own the end-to-end hardware supply chain, from BOM cost optimization to ensuring every design choice delivers a delightful customer experience. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and vendor management — driving quality, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Supplier Coordination (BOM Cost Optimisation)
Own the full BOM and negotiate with vendors to achieve the most competitive pricing without compromising quality.
Identify alternate suppliers and components for cost and availability advantages.
Track and report cost-saving initiatives with measurable impact on COGS.
Technical Coordination (Customer Experience in Hardware Design)
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure customer experience priorities are embedded in the hardware design and BOM decisions.
Review prototypes and production samples for usability, durability, and aesthetic quality.
Ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles are followed to minimize production issues.
Continuous Supply Chain & Vendor Development (COGS Optimisation)
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with high-quality manufacturing partners.
Establish scalable vendor qualification, audit, and onboarding processes.
Implement processes for ongoing COGS reduction through material substitution, yield improvement, and process innovation.

What We're Looking For

5+ years in hardware product management, supply chain, or vendor management (consumer electronics experience preferred).

Experience across vendor types - Plastic, Electronics, EMS, Packaging

Strong understanding of BOM structuring, component sourcing, and manufacturing processes.

Proven track record of cost optimisation without compromising product quality.

Ability to balance technical constraints with customer experience priorities.

Good to have - Firmware understanding

Hardware experience at smaller (startup) scale is preferred as compared to bigger MNC scale

Excellent negotiation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
