SAP Lead

Job Title : SAP TM Consultant (Contract)

Location : 100% Remote

Employment Type : Contract (6-12 months, with potential for extension)

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP TM modules to streamline transportation processes, including freight planning, execution, and settlement. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in end-to-end SAP TM rollouts and will work remotely to deliver high-impact solutions for our clients in the logistics and supply chain sectors.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP TM solutions, including transportation planning, freight order management, charge calculation, and settlement processes.

Conduct end-to-end implementations, from requirements gathering and blueprinting to go-live support and post-implementation optimization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP TM with other SAP modules (e.g., EWM, S / 4HANA) and third-party systems.

Perform testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance), data migration, and provide training to end-users.

Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and ensure compliance with best practices in transportation management.

Document configurations, processes, and custom developments for knowledge transfer and future reference.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP TM consulting or implementation.

Proven track record of at least 2+ end-to-end SAP TM implementations / rollouts, including full lifecycle from design to deployment.

Strong knowledge of SAP TM core functionalities, such as transportation planning, freight unit management, carrier selection, and event management.

Experience with SAP S / 4HANA TM and integration with embedded TM scenarios.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across time zones.

Preferred Skills :

Certification in SAP TM (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Transportation Management).

Experience with advanced TM features like real-time tracking, route optimization, and analytics reporting.

Familiarity with industry-specific solutions (e.g., for manufacturing, retail, or logistics).

Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies for project delivery.
