Accounting and Compliance Manager

Job descriptionPrepare GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliances on time. Assist with audits (internal, statutory, and GST) and ensure proper documentation. Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and government authorities as needed. Process employee payroll and reimbursements. Maintain accurate records of salaries, advances, and statutory deductions (PF, ESIC). Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Assist management with budget planning, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis. Allocate and track shared expenses between VidUnit Media and PunToon Kids. Support inter-company transactions and reconciliations. Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, content, e-commerce) to ensure financial accuracy across departments. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in media, e-commerce, or startups. Proficiency in Tally or other accounting software. Strong understanding of Indian tax laws, GST, TDS, and compliance. Excellent Excel skills and analytical abilities. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management. Ability to handle multi-entity accounting.
Years of Experience : 2-4 yrs
Offered CTC - 28,000 pm
Key Responsibilities :
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for both companies.
- Manage day-to-day accounting entries in Tally (or preferred software).
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor invoices, and customer payments.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable.
- Petty cash management.
