Summary of the Role :
This role involves end-to-end ownership of civil design and engineering deliverables for wind power
projects. The candidate will be responsible for verifying and validating civil design drawings, ensuring
they meet all relevant codes, standards, and project-specific criteria. A strong focus will be on
integrating geotechnical findings into structural designs and preparing accurate BOQs and cost
estimates for foundations, substations, and related infrastructure.
Close coordination with internal teams, EPC partners, consultants, and vendors is essential, along
with ensuring high-quality construction practices and timely documentation. Strong communication
and cross-functional collaboration are critical to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities :
Verify and validate civil design drawings and technical specifications.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project-specific requirements.
Review geotechnical and SBC reports and integrate findings into foundation designs.
Estimate quantities and prepare BOQs for WTG foundations, substations, and associated civil
infrastructure.
Conduct cost estimation and rate analysis for all civil activities.
Coordinate closely with internal project teams, EPC contractors, consultants, and vendors.
Review and approve civil designs for Pooling Substations (PSS), CRB buildings, transformer
foundations, cable trenches, culverts, drains, and retaining walls.
Lead the design, engineering and estimation of wind farm pathways for logistics, including
village bypasses, bell mouths, road widening, and turning radius improvements for WTG
transportation.
Ensure quality of materials and civil construction practices at project sites.
Maintain accurate documentation and participate in technical review meetings.
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional
coordination effectively.
Required Qualifications :
B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute.
8 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in wind or renewable energy projects.
Preferred Areas of Exposure :
Strong understanding of IS codes, standards, and technical specifications relevant to wind
project infrastructure.
Hands-on experience in reviewing civil drawings, BOQs, and geotechnical reports.
Proficient in estimation, rate analysis, and preparation of civil engineering documentation.
Familiarity with design and layout of WTG foundations, substations, roads, and other
associated civil works.
Experience coordinating with EPC contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, STAAD, MS Excel, and other relevant civil engineering
tools.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
