Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient and inpatient care to adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, infections, cardiac, respiratory, renal, and endocrine disorders).
- Conduct detailed history-taking, physical examination, diagnostic investigations, and treatment planning.
- Manage critically ill patients in coordination with ICU, emergency, and specialty departments.
- Handle medical emergencies and stabilize patients in ER or IPD settings.
- Perform procedures such as lumbar puncture, pleural tap, ascitic tap, central line insertion, etc.
- Collaborate with specialists (cardiology, nephrology, neurology, etc.) for referrals and co-management.
2. Teaching & Academic Duties (For teaching institutions)
Deliver lectures, clinical demonstrations, and bedside teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students.Guide residents and interns in history taking, clinical examination, and diagnostic reasoning.Participate in clinical discussions, journal clubs, and academic meetings.Mentor students for case presentations, thesis writing, and research projects.3. Research & Publications (If applicable)
Conduct or participate in clinical research related to internal medicine.Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.Participate in audits and clinical quality improvement programs.4. Administrative & Supportive Roles
Maintain accurate patient records, discharge summaries, and referral notes.Ensure compliance with infection control, treatment protocols, and institutional policies.Serve on medical boards, ethics committees, or hospital task forces as needed.Qualifications

MBBS + MD / DNB in General Medicine / Internal MedicineValid registration with National / State Medical CouncilDesirable :
