QualityKiosk Technologies - Senior Software Test Engineer - Insurance Domain

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Tester with solid expertise in the insurance domain, particularly in retail insurance products such as health, life, and motor insurance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with API testing using Postman, mobile testing, and a strong understanding of retail banking concepts. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of insurance applications by designing test cases, executing tests, managing defects, and communicating effectively with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Test and validate retail insurance journeys including health insurance, life insurance, and motor insurance.
• Understand insurance business workflows, policy lifecycle, claims processing, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Perform API testing using Postman or equivalent tools to validate data exchange, response codes, and business logic.
• Collaborate with developers and backend teams to identify and resolve API-related issues.
• Analyze requirements, identify scenarios, and develop detailed and comprehensive test cases.
• Execute manual and automated test cases across different modules and platforms.
• Conduct testing on mobile applications (Android / iOS), including functional, usability, and performance testing.
• Track, log, and manage defects in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Follow through the defect life cycle, coordinate retesting, and provide timely status updates.
• Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver testing artifacts such as test plans, test reports, and defect summaries.
• Work closely with business analysts, developers, product owners, and other QA team members in an Agile / Scrum environment.
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups.
