Job description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and create innovative mechanical concepts and designs based on client requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards.
  • Lead the concept design phase, transforming ideas and rough sketches into detailed 3D models using CAD software (e.g., Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD).
  • Conduct feasibility studies, including stress analysis, material selection, and cost estimation, to ensure designs are viable and meet project goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, production, and quality control, to ensure designs are practical and efficiently produced.
  • Generate detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Perform design reviews, assess potential design risks, and implement necessary improvements.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure designs are cutting-edge and competitive.
  • Provide technical support during the prototype development phase and participate in testing and validation of new designs.
  • Prepare and present design proposals and reports to stakeholders, including clients and management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

    • Required Skills

  • 5-12 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong emphasis on concept design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Solid Edge.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in performing FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other simulation techniques to validate designs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all design work.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex design concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the textile machinery industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
