Database Architect

Required Skill Set (Must Have)

• Understanding of various relational and non-relational database technologies along with their benefits, downsides, and best use-case.
• In-depth experience in configuring database replication on multiple versions.
• Strong experience in Monitoring, DB Performance Tuning, DB Availability, DR, Security, Storage
• Analyzing and providing recommendations to optimize database
• for improved performance, manageability, and scalability.
• Expertise in enterprise backups, recovery, and performing point in-time recovery
• Experience in deploying and integrating PMM tools
• Experience in data partitioning and encryption.
• Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices Relational and No-SQL DBs
• Understanding storage of Structured and Non Structured Data.
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
• Design and implement effective mission-critical database solutions
• Conceptual, logical data models and physical database design using tools like Erwin, PGAdmin, Visio, UML
• Hands on experience and Proficient in SQL and procedural languages (i.e. PL / SQL, T-Sql, PL / PgSql)
• Understanding of Data warehousing, ETL processes, and Report Functions
• Database security, database hardening, data encryption at rest and at motion
• Implementing normalized and deformalized star and snowflake schema
