UKG Ready Implementation Specialist – Benefits & Payroll Integration (Contract / Consulting Role)

Support role

Time- US SHIFT HOURS (6 : 30 PM IST- 3 AM IST)

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced UKG Ready Implementation Specialist with deep expertise in benefit plan configuration and payroll integration . The ideal candidate will lead the design, build, and testing of a unified Critical Illness (CI) plan within the UKG Ready system.

This initiative involves consolidating multiple existing CI plans (Employee, Employee + Spouse, Employee + Child, and Family) into a single, tiered plan with dependent coverage rules and age-banded premium structures , aligned with Symetra’s Critical Illness policy and pricing .

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure a new unified Critical Illness plan in UKG Ready .
  • Consolidate multiple CI plans into one plan with multiple coverage tiers (Employee, Employee + Spouse, Employee + Child, Employee + Family).
  • Apply age-banded premium rates for employee and spouse coverage as per the pricing sheet, ensuring dependent children are included at no additional cost .
  • Implement complex coverage rules and validations , including :
  • Spouse coverage cannot exceed the employee’s elected coverage.
  • Children are automatically included for “Employee + Child(ren)” or “Employee + Family” tiers.
  • Ensure deduction and earning codes are properly mapped to payroll and aligned with the Partner CI setup.
  • Validate and test the plan configuration within the UKG Ready Benefits module .
  • Conduct end-to-end testing prior to open enrollment to ensure a seamless employee experience.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in UKG Ready or UKG Pro (Benefits Administration & Configuration).
  • Strong understanding of benefit plan setup , coverage levels , and payroll deduction mapping .
  • Proficient in defining and implementing eligibility rules , dependent coverage tiers , and evidence of insurability (EOI) workflows.
  • Experience supporting open enrollment cycles in UKG.
  • Working knowledge of benefit data integrations (EDX files) .
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
