We are seeking an experienced Network Proxy & Load Balancer Specialist with 12-15 years of proven expertise in traffic routing, proxy solutions, and load balancing across both modern and legacy network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in designing, implementing, and optimizing proxy and load balancing architecture while ensuring seamless integration between evolving technologies and existing systems.
The role demands advanced capabilities in routing logic, topology planning, architecture audits, and remediation planning, with a strong track record of identifying gaps, conducting in-depth configuration reviews, and driving corrective actions. The candidate will collaborate closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure secure, high-performance, resilient, and compliant network environments aligned with organizational Experience :
Proxy Solutions :
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing proxy systems such as Zscaler, Blue Coat, Squid, and Cisco Umbrella, across diverse environments.
Proxy Architecture & Security :
Deep expertise with Forward and Reverse Proxy setups, SSL Inspection, URL Filtering, and secure traffic management for both internal and external networks.Load Balancing Expertise :
Practical experience deploying and managing load balancers including F5 BIG-IP, Citrix NetScaler, HAProxy, AWS ELB / ALB, and NGINX, with proficiency in traffic distribution, health checks, session persistence, and SSL offloading.Routing Logic & Traffic Engineering :
Strong understanding of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF, traffic paths, and logic-based traffic steering to ensure optimal network flow between services and data centers.Topology, Architectural & Configuration Audits :
Experience conducting network topology reviews, architectural assessments, and configuration audits, analyzing discrepancies between modern cloud-based deployments and legacy setups to uncover misalignments, inefficiencies, and security vulnerabilities.Remediation Planning :
Proven ability to develop and execute remediation strategies including migration plans, configuration tuning, and architectural enhancements to support seamless transitions and align with business objectives.High Availability & Failover :
Designing and implementing robust HA, failover, and disaster recovery configurations to ensure network continuity and resilience.Performance Tuning :
Experience optimizing system performance through capacity planning, traffic shaping, and in-depth troubleshooting methodologies.Audit & Compliance :
Strong expertise in proxy estate audits, security assessments, and performance evaluations, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and operational best Skills :Ability to document and communicate complex technical issues and solutions to stakeholders.Experience working in hybrid environments integrating cloud-native and on-premises systems.Knowledge of automation frameworks, monitoring tools, and reporting systems is preferred.Familiarity with regulatory and industry compliance Experience :Exposure to network automation, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Experience with cross-functional teams in large enterprise or service provider environments.Knowledge of modernization strategies, legacy system integration, and phased rollout plans.(ref : hirist.tech)
