About the Role :
We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking VP, BSA / AML / OFAC Process Data Oversight to lead and safeguard the data ecosystem that powers our AML and Sanctions Programs. Reporting to the SVP, BSA / AML / OFAC Officer , this leader ensures the integrity, reliability, and compliance of all data processes in alignment with our Enterprise Data Management policies.
You will serve as the program’s principal data steward, partnering closely with Technology, the Enterprise Data Management Office, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify risks, strengthen controls, and drive innovation across our AML data platform. This is a highly visible role with significant impact on risk management, regulatory compliance, and enterprise data strategy.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and enhance all data processes supporting BSA / AML / OFAC programs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify data-related risks and proactively resolve issues across the AML ecosystem.
- Partner with IT and Enterprise Data Management to align technology initiatives with AML program needs.
- Drive continuous improvement across transaction monitoring, KYC, sanctions screening, and case management platforms.
- Lead cross-functional teams on complex data, analytics, and technology transformation initiatives.
- Champion data governance best practices, information security, and data quality standards.
- Present insights, findings, and recommendations to senior and C-suite leadership.
- Support large-scale data migration and modernization efforts, including public cloud transitions.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree required;advanced degree (MBA, MS in Data Science, Information Systems, or related field) preferred.
10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data integrity roles, including 5+ years in regulated financial services (or 12+ years in lieu of a degree).Strong knowledge of BSA / AML / OFAC regulations and AML technology solutions (transaction monitoring, KYC, case management systems).Expertise in data governance frameworks, data risk management, and systems integration.6+ years working with Oracle data warehouses, data lakes, and / or cloud environments.6+ years programming experience with ETL tools— Ab Initio highly preferred ;ability to read and reverse-engineer Ab Initio graphs.
Proficiency in SQL (Oracle), Hadoop technologies, and analytics tools.Experience with large-scale data migrations and iterative / agile delivery.Strong communication, relationship management, influencing, and change leadership skills.Professional certifications (CAMS, CISA, CDMP, CIPP) preferred.For further information, kindly reach out to us at dhwani@credencehrservices.com
