Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field. Certification in coding (CPC, COC, CCS, or CIC) is preferred. Trauma coding is additional advantage Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. Proficient in using coding software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clinical staff. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Description
We are seeking an experienced IPDRG Coder and Auditor to join our Client in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate coding of medical records and conducting audits to maintain compliance with coding standards. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of coding regulations and the ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze IPDRG codes for accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines.
- Perform audits on medical records to ensure proper coding and documentation practices are followed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve coding discrepancies and ensure accurate billing.
- Stay updated with changes in coding regulations and guidelines to maintain compliance.
- Provide training and support to junior coders and staff as needed.
- Prepare reports on coding audits and present findings to management.
