Production Manager Home Textiles

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and monitor daily textile production operations (weaving, dyeing, printing, stitching, finishing).

Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and buyer requirements .

Oversee resource allocation, workforce management, and machine utilization .

Implement lean manufacturing practices, process improvements, and cost reduction initiatives .

Coordinate with design, merchandising, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Monitor raw material availability, inventory, and supply chain coordination .

Conduct regular quality checks and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Manage vendor relationships and subcontracting activities when required.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, labor laws, and environmental standards .

Prepare and present MIS reports, production analytics, and KPIs to management.

Lead, mentor, and train the production team for enhanced productivity.

Requirements

Required Skill Sets

Strong knowledge of home textiles production processes (weaving, dyeing, printing, stitching, embroidery, finishing).

Expertise in production planning, quality control, and factory operations .

Familiarity with ERP / production management systems .

Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization .

Knowledge of textile raw materials, fabrics, trims, and accessories .

Experience in handling buyer audits, compliance, and certifications .

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills .

Leadership and team management abilities with cross-functional coordination.

Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and production reporting tools .
