Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S / 4HANA Controlling (CO) Lead Consultant to architect, implement, and optimize Controlling processes across S / 4HANA environments. This role requires strong functional leadership, deep CO expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global business stakeholders. The consultant will lead workshops, define solution design, manage configuration, ensure cross-module integration, and support full lifecycle project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Delivery

Lead end-to-end design of SAP S / 4HANA CO processes including :

Cost Center Accounting (CCA)

Profit Center Accounting (PCA)

Internal Orders

Product Costing

Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) / Margin Analysis

Translate business requirements into scalable system solutions and detailed functional specifications.

Drive Fit-to-Standard and Fit / Gap workshops for the CO scope.

Define and maintain the global CO template ensuring consistency across regions and business units.

Configuration & Integration

Configure SAP S / 4HANA CO components such as :

Universal Journal–based CO integration

Cost elements, allocations, assessments, settlements

Reporting structures and value flows

Lead configuration for :

Product Costing (Standard / Actual Costing)

Material Ledger

Cost Object Controlling

Ensure robust integration with FI, MM, PP, SD, PM, and other S / 4HANA modules.

Project Leadership

Act as the primary CO Workstream Lead for S / 4HANA implementations, rollouts, and upgrades.

Provide functional specifications for RICEFW objects and support development, testing, and validation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define end-to-end financial and operational flows.

Guide global stakeholders, conduct training, and support change management activities.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP CO.

Minimum 2 full lifecycle SAP S / 4HANA implementations as a CO Lead.

Strong expertise in :

Cost Center & Profit Center Accounting

Product Costing (Material Ledger, Actual Costing)

Internal Orders & Project Controlling

CO-PA / Margin Analysis

Deep understanding of :

Universal Journal (ACDOCA)

SAP Fiori apps

S / 4HANA simplification items

Proven experience leading workshops and managing global, cross-cultural stakeholders.

Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP S / 4HANA Finance or CO certification .

Experience with SAP Activate methodology .

Background in global template design and multi-country rollouts.
