Job Title : HR Operations Lead

Location : Pune

Reports to : HR Operations Head

Department : Human Resources

Budget : 8 - 10 LPA (based on experience)

Experience : 8 – 12 years

Employment Type : Full Time

Immediate Joiner preferred

Job Summary :

Overseeing the seamless execution and functioning of HR operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, combined with a hands-on approach, to optimize day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, employee data management, HRIS, Compliance, while driving continuous improvement across all HR operations.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Strategic HR Operations Management :

  • Lead and manage day-to-day HR operations, ensuring efficient workflow in areas such as recruitment coordination, onboarding, offboarding, and HR administration.
  • Drive HR operational excellence by identifying and implementing best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage the employee life cycle processes from onboarding to exit and ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for HR operational queries, providing efficient issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR operations with business goals and growth objectives.

2. Payroll & Benefits Administration :

  • Payroll processing and coordination with Payroll Partner to ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
  • Manage employee benefits administration, including health insurance, attendance and leave administration, and other benefits programs.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements related to payroll, compensation, and employee benefits.
  • 3. HR Policy & Compliance :

  • Lead the review, development, and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with labor laws and company objectives.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure HR activities adhere to statutory compliance and organizational policies.
  • Keep updated with labor laws and recommend necessary policy changes.
  • 4. HRIS & Analytics :

  • Optimize and maintain the Human Resources Information System (preferably Zoho People) to ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Develop and present detailed HR reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key metrics and actionable insights.
  • Leverage analytics to support workforce planning and operational improvements
  • 5. Process Improvement & Efficiency :

  • Continuously review HR processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement HR process automation and system enhancements.
  • Implement innovative solutions to enhance employee experience and operational effectiveness.
  • 6. Employee Relations & Support :

  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR operational matters such as policies, compensation, benefits, and HR system queries.
  • Foster a positive work environment by proactively addressing employee concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
  • 7. Reporting & Insights :

  • Prepare and share regular reports on HR metrics such as employee turnover, time & attendance, payroll, and compliance.
  • Develop monthly HR reports and dashboards for management review, providing analytical insights to support HR strategy.
  • Requirements

    Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Education : Master’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 8–12 years of experience in HR Operations roles.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in HRIS systems (preferably Zoho People) and advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge : Strong understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices in HR operations.
  • Analytical Skills : Demonstrated ability to analyze HR data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Problem Solving : Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues
