Proximity Learning is seeking a Virtual School Behavior Specialist to support K–12 students for the current school year. This role requires a dedicated, organized, and compassionate professional to provide virtual behavioral support that promotes student engagement, positive interactions, and academic and personal success across learning environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to fostering student growth and collaboration within a supportive virtual setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect and analyze behavioral data to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and create appropriate strategies to support student learning and social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school-based staff to integrate behavior goals into daily instruction and routines.
- Provide consultation and guidance to educational teams and families on effective behavior management strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, data collection, and student progress in compliance with educational standards and confidentiality requirements.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Behavioral Psychology, Education, Psychology, or a related field.Active BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) certification.Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a school setting, not including the internship year.Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and evidence-based behavioral interventions.Ability to design, implement, and modify individualized behavior programs in a virtual environment.Working knowledge of technology such as virtual tools / personal computers and platforms for data tracking, collaboration, and communication.Schedule flexibility (School day hours) and interest in working across time zones.Location : This is a 100% remote role
