About the Role
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact at BOQ Group? As the Senior Analyst, Line 1 Compliance, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our compliance capability within the first line of defence. This role is essential in promoting a proactive compliance culture, identifying and mitigating regulatory risks, and ensuring adherence to internal standards and external obligations. You’ll support Business Unit teams in embedding effective compliance controls, translating regulatory requirements into practical solutions, and uplifting the control environment. Working closely with Line 2, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders, you’ll provide compliance advice, contribute to risk-in-change assessments, and help drive remediation and monitoring activities. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across divisions, contribute to governance forums, and support the delivery of BOQ Group’s Compliance Strategy. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring compliance is owned and managed at the source, helping the business stay ahead of regulatory expectations. This is an initial 24 month contract with the potential view to extension.
About you
You’re a compliance professional with a strong background in regulatory risk, ideally gained within financial services. You bring a solid understanding of APRA, ASIC, and other regulatory bodies, and have experience designing and implementing compliance controls that are both effective and practical. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail allow you to identify control gaps, assess compliance risks, and recommend solutions that improve business outcomes. You’re confident in using compliance monitoring tools and systems, and your ability to simplify complex regulatory requirements makes you a valued advisor. You’re a clear communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills, capable of influencing across all levels of the organisation. Your collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement make you a trusted member of the team. A bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field is essential, and professional certifications such as AACI or ACI NAT will be highly regarded. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with compliance frameworks will support your success in this role.
