Job description10+ years of ETL development experience with at least 4+ years in IBM DataStage 11 . Strong knowledge of banking / financial domain processes (payments, compliance, risk, regulatory reporting, customer data management). In-depth understanding of ETL methodologies, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional modeling . Hands-on experience with parallel jobs, server jobs, sequencers, and complex transformations in DataStage. Proficiency in SQL and experience with multiple relational databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.). Strong knowledge of UNIX / Linux scripting and job scheduling tools. Experience with performance tuning and large-scale data processing. Familiarity with version control, CI / CD, and DevOps practices . Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-based data integration . Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark). Exposure to Data Governance and Data Quality tools . Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
A US / Canadian based IT MNC is hiring for Lead Data Stage Developer for one of their Banking client.
Work Location : Remote
Shift Timing : 2 : 30 PM to 11 : 30 PM.
We are seeking an experienced Senior IBM DataStage 11 Developer with strong expertise in building and optimizing ETL solutions. The ideal candidate will also bring banking domain experience, working on large-scale financial data processing, regulatory reporting, and risk / compliance-related projects. This role requires collaboration with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using IBM DataStage 11
- Work on banking / financial data integration projects involving payments, loans, credit, and regulatory data.
- Optimize and tune DataStage jobs for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with data architects to define integration strategies and best practices.
- Work with business analysts to gather and analyze requirements.
- Develop reusable components, frameworks, and accelerators.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables through code reviews, unit testing, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
