Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior MEP Procurement Manager to lead our procurement activities related to Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) works. This position is ideal for candidates from contractor companies who have hands-on experience in package finalization, subcontract management, and contract administration. The role will be based in Mumbai and will support high-value projects across commercial, residential, or infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Drive end-to-end procurement for MEP packages including HVAC, Fire Fighting, Electrical, Plumbing, IBMS, and other services.
  • Evaluate and onboard subcontractors and vendors in line with project specifications and company standards.
  • Negotiate and finalize subcontractor agreements, rate contracts, and service terms with clear deliverables.
  • Manage tendering processes - from floating enquiries, evaluating bids, to contract award.
  • Maintain strong cost control and value engineering approach in all package procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate with project planning and execution teams to align procurement timelines with project schedules.
  • Track vendor and subcontractor performance; manage claims, variations, and ensure contract compliance.
  • Keep up to date with industry pricing, market trends, and new technologies related to MEP works.
  • Prepare MIS reports and procurement dashboards for management review.

Required Experience & Skills :

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP procurement from contractor companies is mandatory.
  • Proven track record in handling subcontracts, contract negotiations, and package finalization.
  • Strong knowledge of technical specifications, BOQs, and engineering drawings.
  • Experience working on high-value, large-scale commercial / residential / infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and documentation skills.
  • Sound understanding of local and international sourcing practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with internal teams and external partners.
