Job Title : Business Analyst - Banking
Location : Remote, India
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (Banking domain) to support a large-scale core banking transformation program spanning multiple countries. This role combines deep banking knowledge with strong analytical, technical, and stakeholder management expertise to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to support a multi-country core banking upgrade program.
- Document and validate data quality control requirements in source systems and obtain stakeholder sign-off.
- Possess strong domain expertise across Customer, KYC, Trade, Payments, Loans, and Deposits.
- Partner with technology teams to ensure data quality requirements are embedded and ETL pipelines support metadata capture and data lineage tracking.
- Apply working knowledge of Informatica EDC and Axon for data governance.
- Leverage statistical and analytical skills for data collection, measurement, and in-depth analysis.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in database design, data modeling, data mining, and segmentation.
- Write and optimize SQL / Oracle queries and use programming languages such as R, MATLAB, and Python for data-driven insights.
- Build reporting solutions with Business Objects, Qlik, and Power BI, as well as big data platforms such as Hadoop and Apache Spark.
- Develop and document workflows, procedures, and quality control mechanisms.
- Design and manage reporting environments ensuring metadata integrity, security, and efficiency.
- Translate high-level business requirements into actionable technical & Skills :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in business / data analysis within large-scale banking projects.
- Extensive experience in managing databases and handling complex, large datasets.
- Strong understanding of metadata standards, data governance frameworks, and methodologies for data management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate risks and provide practical solutions.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to present findings through structured reports, queries, and impactful visualizations.
