Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Freight Broker

to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for connecting shippers with reliable carriers, negotiating rates, managing transportation logistics, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of freight. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent negotiation skills and a proven track record in third-party logistics or freight brokerage.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, source, and secure new business

through cold calling, prospecting, and relationship building.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and shippers , ensuring consistent and reliable service.

Negotiate freight rates

with customers and carriers to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive service.

Coordinate and manage freight movements , ensuring on-time pickup and delivery.

Monitor shipment progress , proactively addressing issues, delays, or changes.

Provide exceptional customer service , resolving concerns and maintaining clear communication throughout the shipping process.

Maintain accurate load tracking , documentation, and data entry within TMS software.

Stay informed about industry trends , market conditions, and pricing dynamics.

Ensure compliance

with all DOT regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a

Freight Broker, Logistics Coordinator.

Excellent

communication, negotiation, and customer-service skills .

Proficiency with

TMS systems, load boards , and Microsoft Office tools.

Ability to

work independently , multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
