Commission a 1 GWh assembly (cells imported), deliver turnkey containerized systems for grid‑scale and Battery packs or rack mounted systems for C&I, build OEM / EMS / BMS partnerships, and scale to a ₹2,000 Cr+ business in 2–3 years with eventual backward integration.
Role Details :
We are looking for a senior role (Vice President) for our BESS Business.
Location : Kolkata (pan‑India travel)Experience : 10+ years in Lithium-Ion Battery energy storage with MW‑scale C&I focusReporting : PromoterPurpose of the Role : Build and lead the BESS C&I business with full P&L ownership, craft GTM, close marquee deals, and forge OEM / EPC / finance partnerships.Key Responsibilities to include :
P&L leadership : set revenue / margin targets; build order book and manage budgets; enforce pricing discipline and deal reviews.Market & GTM : segment C&I customers (steel, textiles, data centres, commercial real estate), define use‑cases (peak shaving, solar + storage, backup / diesel abatement), and set region‑wise quotas.Strategic partnerships : source and negotiate with cell / battery, PCS / inverter, and EMS / BMS OEMs; Vendor / ancillary development for balance of systems, establish EPC and financing partners; explore JV / assembly alliances.Solution leadership : guide sizing / LCOS modelling, TCO / ROI, and commercial structures (capex, lease, energy‑as‑a‑service).Policy & incentives : track central / state regulations and storage incentives; ensure proposals leverage applicable benefits.Team building : hire and mentor BD managers and applications engineers; institute CRM and governance cadence; build a performance culture.Stakeholder management : executive sponsor for key accounts; represent the business at Board reviews and industry forums.Qualification & Other Details :
Proven experience of 10+ yrs in power / renewables / large battery storage systems including Lithium-Ion batteries, with 5+ yrs of leading revenue centres; prior closure of multi‑crore infra / energy deals.
