About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior .NET Developer with hands-on experience in Windows application development. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in the Microsoft technology stack, solid understanding of software design principles, and the ability to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications.

Experience in the banking domain will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Development & Design

  • Design, develop, and maintain Windows-based applications using VB.NET, ADO.NET, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Participate actively in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
  • Develop and implement WCF services, client-server, three-tier, and MVC architecture applications.
  • Write efficient, clean, and maintainable code, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Create database schemas and design data models that represent and support business processes.
  • Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for high-performance data operations.
  • Ensure applications are scalable, performant, and responsive, following design and architecture principles.

Testing & Documentation :

  • Conduct unit testing and participate in integration testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Document technical designs, workflows, and architecture diagrams to support project development and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to identify, resolve, and verify bug fixes effectively.

    • Collaboration & Version Control :

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams business analysts, testers, and project managers to deliver robust solutions.
  • Use version control tools such as Subversion, Team Foundation Server (TFS), or Visual SourceSafe (VSS) for managing source code and project versions.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.

    • Reporting & Tools :

  • Develop Excel-based reports using Excel Interop and other Microsoft Office integrations.
  • Utilize tools such as Visual Studio (2015 and above) and SQL Server Management Studio (2008 and above) for application development and database management.

    • Required Qualifications & Skills :

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 58 years of professional experience in software development using .NET technologies.
  • Proven experience in Windows application development using VB.NET and ADO.NET.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
  • In-depth experience with WCF services, three-tier architecture, and MVC frameworks.
  • Good understanding of database design and SQL (queries, stored procedures, schema design).
  • Familiarity with software documentation and design diagrams (UML preferred).
  • Working knowledge of code versioning tools such as Subversion, TFS, or VSS.
  • Hands-on experience in Excel reporting and automation using Excel Interop.
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes and Agile methodologies.
