Key Responsibilities :

• Strong technical expertise in transient analysis and surge modeling for water transmission lines and water distribution networks. The specialist will be responsible for conducting surge studies, performing hydraulic transient modeling, and preparing technical reports.
• Perform transient analysis and surge modeling for pressurized water systems.
• Identify surge risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Support design teams in selecting surge control devices (e.g., surge tanks, air valves, …).
• Collaborate with water and mechanical engineers to integrate surge protection measures into water systems and pump stations designs.
• Utilize transient modeling software such as Bentley HAMMER, or similar tools.
• Prepare detailed technical reports with recommendations for surge mitigation.

Education and Professional Skills :

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in transient analysis and surge modeling for water infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic transients, water hammer effects, and surge mitigation techniques.
• Proficiency in surge modeling software (Bentley HAMMER, etc.).
• Experience in water transmission, water distribution, or large-scale pump station projects.
• Knowledge of pump operations, valve dynamics, and surge control devices.
• Experience working on international water infrastructure projects (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical reporting skills.
