Job Title : Sales Head – Tamil Nadu & Kerala for FMCG COMMODITY BRAND

Location : Tamil Nadu & Kerala

Headquarters : Madurai / Coimbatore

Experience Required :

Minimum 8–15 years in B2B / Bulk Commodity Sales – preferably in rice, oil, sugar, dhall, maida, sooji, or similar products.

Role Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Head to lead and expand our wheat-based product sales in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The ideal candidate will possess deep market knowledge of flour-based products and have strong relationships with wholesalers, bakeries, institutions, HoReCa , and pasta / semiya / biscuit manufacturers etc .

Key Responsibilities :

Sales Strategy & Planning :

  • Develop and execute region-specific sales strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Identify and target high-potential B2B buyers such as bakeries, hotels, vermicelli manufacturers, and caterers .
  • Set and achieve monthly / quarterly sales targets, ensuring consistent volume growth.

Business Development :

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with bulk buyers, flour agents, and wholesale traders .
  • Drive customer acquisition across urban and semi-urban areas.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and buyer behavior to refine strategy.
  • Distribution & Supply Chain Coordination :

  • Coordinate with production and logistics teams for timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Optimize inventory and logistics to reduce lead times and prevent stock-outs.
  • Team Management :

  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of Sales Officers and Territory Managers across TN & Kerala.
  • Provide performance oversight, guidance, and motivation.
  • Capable of managing multiple high-performing ASMs and RSMs .
  • Customer Relationship Management :

  • Maintain strong post-sales relationships to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Address complaints and coordinate with the quality control team when needed.
  • Qualifications :

  • Graduate / MBA in Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience at GM / VP / ZSM in B2B / Bulk Sales, ideally from flour mills, dhall, oil, sugar , or similar FMCG / commodity sectors.
  • Deep understanding of Tamil Nadu and Kerala markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive volumes and manage large customer portfolios.
  • Proficiency in Tamil, Malayalam, and English is essential.
  • Should currently be handling a turnover of ₹200+ crores .
  • A seasoned leader with a track record of long tenures, upward growth , and hands-on leadership.
  • Preferred Profile :

  • Strategic thinker with strong negotiation and networking skills.
  • Experience in price-sensitive, high-volume, low-margin B2B environments.
  • Familiarity with credit management and institutional distribution models.
  • Ideally looking for someone committed to grooming future leaders and growing with the organization long-term .
  • CTC : Not a constraint for deserving candidates. Best in the industry.
