POSITION SUMMARY :
Collaborate with Mortgage Servicing business leaders to provide strategic business analysis services. Focus will be to work closely with them to gain in-depth understanding of strategy, processes, roadmap and the context in which the business operates. Responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify operational, financial and technological risks. May engage with multiple stakeholders across several lines of business leading large and complex projects.
JOB FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Evaluate current business methods, processes, analysis, reporting and key performance and risk indicator trending and identify opportunities to reduce costs and risks through promotion of technological resources
- Leads projects in collaboration with business leaders to design and implement process improvements and reporting solutions by documenting and obtaining approval of all business requirements including applicable process maps, flow charts and technical approach documents Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and decompose high-level information into details
- Identify opportunities and initiate projects that will help gain efficiency, cost savings, visibility and management of business unit activities
- Create and maintain workflows, approval processes, and validation rules based on stakeholder requirements
- Interface with staff developing strategy as technical advisor for new functionality
- Act as a subject matter expert of core reports, business processes and key performance indicators
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
- Follows reporting standards and acts as steward for calculations / metrics owned by areas to ensure accountability and consistency of data
- Manage the assignment of documented report requests, automation and / or scripts to Developers / Systems Analyst and complete final department QC
- Support testing of system upgrades and implementation of new systems
- Review new client, investor and vendor contracts to ensure all reports are developed and delivered
- Work with business to define dialer campaign’s and manage the load of the automated dialer feeds
- Ensure responses to internal and external audit requests are complete, comply with established guidelines and are submitted within required timelines
- Monitor investor announcements and work with business and Change Management team to implement reporting changes as required
- Provide leadership and mentor team members and peers by collaborating with others
- Develop strategy to minimize end user resistance to change with automation
- Engages with and articulates ideas to senior management
- Assists in the development of training initiatives and provides support of various mortgage servicing software to other business analysts in Servicing
- Perform operational risk assessment at initial change review and pre-implementation release to identify potential risks and anticipated points for resistance and develop recommendations to mitigate and address concerns

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance or Information Technology is required for this positionYears of Business Intelligence Tools / Data warehousing / SQL / MIS reporting is preferredPrior mortgage analytics experience is preferredRequired Skills
