GEL is setting up a greenfield Integrated Steel Plant at Bhadrawati (Chandrapur) in the state of Maharashtra, having capacity of 0.4 MTPA finished steel, along with 1.2 MTPA Iron Ore Pellet Plant, 65000 NM3 / Hr of Syn Gas based on Coal Gasification Technology, and other auxiliary units along with these capacities.
Position Overview :
The Associate Manager – Corporate Planning will support the development and execution of the organisational goals. This role requires a mix of analytical thinking, project management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive project / business performance and corporate growth. The Associate Manager will assist in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and aligning corporate strategy with organizational goals, with respect to its greenfield industrial project.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic / Corporate Planning Support :
- Assist in the development of the company’s short-term and long-term project milestones.
- Participate in analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, various aspects related to project, etc
- Prepare and present strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Budgeting & Forecasting :
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the corporate budget with respect to project milestones.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to monitor performance against budget and forecast.
- Project Management :
- Lead or support cross-functional projects that align with corporate planning initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution of corporate plans and projects.
- Track and report on project milestones, ensuring objectives are met.
- Data Analysis & Reporting :
- Analyze business performance data, financial reports, and KPIs to support decision-making processes.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and summaries for senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify trends and insights to drive continuous improvement in corporate planning processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Work closely with various internal departments (finance, marketing, operations, etc.) and external stakeholders, to ensure alignment on corporate objectives.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams to ensure smooth implementation of corporate plans.
- Present findings and progress updates to key stakeholders regularly.
- Continuous Improvement :
- Contribute to the enhancement of planning tools, processes, and methodologies.
- Stay updated on best practices in corporate planning and strategy development and other business areas.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / Chemical / Metallurgy or other relevant streams + MBA or relevant advanced degree.Experience :Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate planning, strategy, project management or related fields.Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects.Strong understanding of techno-commercial aspects.Skills :Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Familiarity with corporate planning software and ERP systems is a plus.Detail-oriented with the ability to handle complex data and translate it into actionable insights.Key Competencies :
