Job Title : System Administrator & Network Engineer

Location : Mumbai Office

Role Overview

This role combines core system administration, network engineering and advanced technical support responsibilities. You will also collaborate closely with our development, cybersecurity and maritime communication tech teams to enhance platform reliability and maintain secure, high-performing systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Network Management

Administer, configure and maintain servers (Linux & Windows) and cloud environments.

Manage internal and client network infrastructure - firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, Wi-Fi systems.

Monitor and optimise system and network performance, ensuring high availability and business continuity.

Implement system security measures, including patches, updates and security configurations.

Design and maintain network topologies, including remote access, VLANs and secure tunnels.

FutureKonnect L3 Technical Support

Provide Level 3 (L3) technical support for the FutureKonnect platform, addressing advanced networking, system and cybersecurity issues.

Develop and implement solutions for complex technical issues to maintain platform performance and reliability.

Troubleshoot and resolve system-level incidents related to networking, server performance and cybersecurity.

Contribute to platform improvements by collaborating with UI / UX, development and cybersecurity teams.

Documentation & Collaboration

Document systems configurations, troubleshooting procedures and operational changes.

Participate in internal cybersecurity projects and platform hardening initiatives as your expertise grows.

Stay updated on trends in system administration, networking, cybersecurity and the maritime technology space.

Required Skills & Experience :

2+ years of experience in system administration, network engineering or technical support.

Deep understanding of networking concepts (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, Routing, Switching).

Proficiency with Linux and Windows Server administration.

Familiarity with firewalls, IDS / IPS, VPN technologies and endpoint security tools.

Hands-on experience with virtualisation platforms and cloud services (AWS, GCP or similar).

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Ability to manage priorities independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Certifications such as CCNA, RHCSA, Network+, or equivalent (preferred, not mandatory).

Familiarity with the maritime industry and / or satellite connectivity is a plus.

Basic scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation and system maintenance.

Interest in cybersecurity and willingness to participate in security projects.
