Job Description – Executive (Quality)

Reporting to : Head – Quality
Position Summary :
The Executive – Quality will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with quality management systems, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The role involves day-to-day quality checks, documentation, audits, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure consistent product quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities :
Quality Assurance
- Develop and establish quality standards and specifications for raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Prepare, review, and issue Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality records, plant records, and other associated documentation to ensure compliance and effective implementation.
- Issue Production Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), carry out product label verification, and verify completed BMRs post-production to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist the quality team in the effective implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, QMS, and regulatory requirements (FSSAI and others).
- Support validation, verification, and calibration activities.
- Assist in maintaining documentation for certifications, internal, and customer audits; monitor compliance; and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for identified non-conformities
- Coordinate with external labs for specific testing requirements.
- Assist in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformities.
- Support customers by providing completed questionnaires, supporting documents, and any other required quality-related information.
- Conduct quality training and awareness sessions for production and shop floor staff.
Qualifications & Experience
Education : B.Tech / B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Food TechnologyExperience : 3-4 years in Quality Assurance / Quality Control in food / FMCG industry Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of food safety standards (FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000 / HACCP).Knowledge of FSSAI and international food regulations.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
