Pharmaceutical Machine Setter / Line Setter Operator | New Automated Bottle Line

Goal of the role :

To prepare, set up and maintain plant equipment in compliance with GMP, Safety, Health and Environmental, and each job requirement.

Line Setters of the Future :

With recent upgrades to the equipment, candidates with experience working on automated lines, robotics, and who have PLC programming experience will be looked upon favorably. In the past, we saw it advantageous for candidates to have mechanical aptitude, mechanical engineering qualifications, and experience. It is now desired that candidates have qualifications in mechatronics, electrical, electronics, computer science, IT and automation. Lastly, whilst experience and qualifications are important, above all, we value a good can-do attitude, communication skills, and willingness to do a great job and be nice to others on the team.

Day-to-day responsibilities :

• Obtain information from Electronic Job Sheet / Area or Production managers for machinery to be prepared for the production run
• Prepare and adjust all necessary equipment and set specifications as per Electronic Job Sheet instructions
• Ensure equipment is set and monitored to maximize efficiency with minimal stoppages and rejects.
• Liaise with Area Supervisor / QC and Component Marshalls about line setups and changeovers working as a team to ensure production lines are run efficiently.
• Solve technical issues and provide general on line assistance.
• Conduct line QC checks when required
• Ensure that all equipment is run in accordance with good safe work practices
• Ensure that plant and equipment is not in use unless all safety devices are in place and effective
• Ensure that all relevant SOP’s related to the job are understood and complied with precisely and exactly
• Report any observations that may compromise quality or safety of people or products. This includes employee competencies, plant & equipment deficiencies.
• Ensure that component order activation for the following job is raised at least 2 hours prior to finishing the current job.
• Ensure that base is booked into MO for job when connecting storage vessel to the line.

The location of this role is near Clayton in the South Eastern Suburbs.

To proceed to the next stage you must have PR, AU, or NZ Citizenship, a reliable car, and a current driver's license.
