strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager
with strong experience in the
US and Canadian staffing markets
to lead client acquisition and drive business growth.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, your primary focus will be
identifying and acquiring new clients
in the US and Canada. You will manage the end-to-end sales cycle—researching potential targets, initiating conversations, customizing staffing solutions, closing deals, and nurturing long-term relationships. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on our growth strategy.
What You’ll Get to Do
Drive client acquisition
by identifying, targeting, and engaging new prospects in the US and Canadian markets.
Lead outreach efforts across multiple channels—calls, emails, social media, and virtual meetings—to generate leads and set up new client engagements.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with hiring managers, procurement leads, and decision-makers.
Present tailored IT staffing solutions that align with clients' project goals and technical needs across contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire models.
Lead pricing discussions, MSA / contract negotiations, and deal structuring to ensure win-win outcomes.
Collaborate with internal recruitment and delivery teams to align on client expectations and ensure timely delivery of talent.
Stay current with market dynamics, emerging technologies, and hiring trends to position Odyssey Global as a strategic staffing partner.
Develop and execute account-specific plans to expand client footprint and increase share of wallet.
What You’ll Bring
8–12 years of experience in business development within the IT staffing industry , with a focus on
US and Canadian markets .
Strong track record of
client acquisition , account expansion, and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills across all levels of client organizations.
Expertise in contract negotiation, MSA / NDA handling, and enterprise-level deal management.
Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Bullhorn, Salesforce), MS Office, and platforms like LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, Information Systems, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience working with MSPs, VMS tools, or high-volume staffing engagements.
In-depth understanding of IT staffing needs across cloud, DevOps, data, and digital transformation domains.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused culture.
