About Us :
L&T is a USD 30 billion Indian multinational engaged in EPC Projects, Hi-Tech Manufacturing, and Services, operating across multiple geographies. A strong, customer–focussed approach and the constant quest for top-class quality have enabled L&T to attain and sustain leadership in its major lines of business for eight decades.
Given L&T’s capability in strategic electronics and leveraging its foray into semiconductor design and well-established capabilities in L&T Technology Services, the business is expanding its offerings to cover industrial electronic modules, products and systems in critical sectors of Power Electronics, Automotive Electronics, Industrial Robotics & Automation, Communication Platforms and Electronic Systems Design & Manufacturing (ESDM). The focus products under Automotive Electronics are ADAS, Electrification & Connectivity related products.
Role : System Architect - ADAS
The System Architect – ADAS will be responsible for defining, developing, and integrating system-level architectures for advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving features. This role bridges hardware, software, and algorithmic domains, ensuring the system meets performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the end-to-end system architecture for ADAS functions (e.g., adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, parking assist, AEB, etc.).
- Lead system decomposition into hardware, software, and algorithmic components.
- Develop system-level requirements and ensure traceability through design, implementation, and validation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (sensors, perception, fusion, controls, software, hardware, and test).
- Evaluate and integrate sensor suites (camera, radar, lidar, ultrasonic, GNSS, IMU, etc.) within the vehicle architecture.
- Define communication architectures (CAN, Ethernet, LIN, FlexRay) and ensure robust data flow between ECUs and sensors.
- Support functional safety and SOTIF (ISO 26262 / ISO 21448) activities, ensuring compliance with ASIL targets.
- Participate in model-based system engineering (MBSE) and architecture modeling using relevant tools such as Enterprise Architect, SysML etc.
- Define cybersecurity requirements in line with ISO / SAE 21434.
- Support prototype development, system integration and design reviews.
- Collaborate with OEM and Tier-1 partners for system design alignment.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Science Engineering.7+ years of experience in ADAS / Autonomous Driving Systems or related automotive embedded systems.Strong understanding of ADAS architectures, sensor fusion, and vehicle networks.Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR or middleware frameworks.Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and SOTIF (ISO 21448) processes.Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).Familiarity with real-time systems, embedded software, and hardware-software co-design.Excellent analytical, communication, and system-thinking skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
