Job Objective :
This role involves conducting detailed business analysis for large-scale IT projects, translating stakeholder needs into functional and technical specifications, and ensuring alignment with business logic, user needs, and project governance processes.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions with diverse stakeholder groups to capture functional and non-functional needs
- Translate business needs into BRDs, process flows, and user stories for development teams working on microservices-based architectures
- Analyze existing platforms, identify overlaps, redundancies, and opportunities for consolidation into unified digital ecosystems
- Map detailed workflows for core modules such as beneficiary / user management, service lifecycle management, grievance redressal, inspection processes, and system integrations
- Define acceptance criteria, data validation rules, and reporting metrics for KPIs and dashboards
- Collaborate with UI / UX teams to ensure wireframes, mockups, and layouts reflect user requirements and accessibility guidelines (GIGW 3.0, WCAG 2.1)
- Work with technical architects and integration teams to validate API specifications, authentication flows, and RBAC configurations
- Support data mapping and migration plans involving relational, NoSQL, and search-indexing databases
- Ensure AI-powered tools (e.g., OCR for document verification, NLP for chatbot responses, analytics automation) are effectively aligned with business logic and user needs
- Participate in UAT cycles, develop test scenarios from business requirements, and validate system outputs against expectations
- Document SOPs, training materials, and knowledge transfer content for end-user adoption
- Track requirement changes, maintain traceability matrices, and ensure alignment with project governance processes.
Education & Qualifications : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or related field.
Certifications : IIBA-CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent Business Analysis certification ITIL Foundation Certification
Skills and Experience :
58 years of experience in business analysis for large-scale IT projectsStrong skills in requirement elicitation, business process modeling (BPMN), and documentation standardsExperience working with microservices, API integrations, and data migration projectsFamiliarity with cloud-native platforms, containerized deployments, and DevSecOps workflowsUnderstanding of relational and NoSQL data structures, as well as search indexing technologiesKnowledge of accessibility, compliance, and security frameworks relevant to public digital platforms (GIGW 3.0, WCAG 2.1, CERT-In)Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma, MS Visio, and AI-powered documentation aids (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot)Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skillsExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Mandatory : Prior government / public sector project experience.(ref : hirist.tech)
