You will provide technical leadership across the Printing & Faxing and Discern teams, driving the modernization of critical EHR infrastructure-ranging from print and fax services to alerting, notifications, and decision support capabilities. Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or related field (MS / PhD or equivalent experience preferred)
- 12+ years of experience in production-grade, distributed systems and cloud-native software engineering
- Proven expertise in architecting, developing, and ensuring the reliability of complex software systems-ideally with exposure to health IT, EHR, or EMR platforms
- Deep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and secure, scalable system design
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, with strong Java development skills
- Hands-on experience driving engineering and operational best practices across multiple teams and projects
- Demonstrated success leading technical direction, mentoring, and recruiting in a software development environment
- Experience collaborating with executive leadership, defining product requirements, and setting delivery milestones
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to lead troubleshooting on complex issues
- Experience with AI-driven development and integrating AI capabilities into applications is highly desirable
- Experience in agile, collaborative development environments
- Familiarity with medical records management and regulatory requirements a plus
