We are seeking a highly experienced Sr Team Leader - Mechanical to lead, coach, and mentor multiple engineering teams embedded within various global equipment divisions. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders and deliver consistent results. You will be responsible for translating client requirements into clear deliverables, ensuring high-quality project delivery, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor multiple specialized engineering teams with diverse technical focus areas.
- Foster team growth through coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Attract and retain top talent to enable business success.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders and product line engineering leaders.
- Actively listen to and comprehend client needs, priorities, and communication preferences.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into clear engineering deliverables.
- Facilitate productive working sessions to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all managed projects.
- Implement effective project management methodologies and proactively identify and mitigate potential delivery risks.
- Establish clear accountability and performance metrics for team members.
- Proactively communicate with product line leaders to anticipate needs and resolve concerns.
- Provide transparent status updates and effectively manage expectations.
- Cultivate strong interpersonal relationships across geographical and cultural boundaries.
- Bridge communication gaps between onshore and offshore teams.
Skills Required :
Strong understanding of engineering principles and modern development methodologies.Experience in industrial equipment and machinery, such as paper, converting, packaging, textile, and discrete product machinery.Experience with global, distributed team management in an offshore context.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and adapt to evolving requirements.Superior listening and comprehension skills to understand underlying needs and priorities.Demonstrated ability to understand business objectives and align technical execution.Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of German or Italian will be an added advantage.A track record of successfully managing client-facing interactions and presentations.QUALIFICATION :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.Skills Required
