SAP Tester - AP / IM Modules

Job Summary :

We are seeking highly skilled QA Testers with hands-on experience in SAP S / 4HANA for Retail, specializing in Accounts Payable (AP) and Inventory Management (IM) processes. The ideal candidates will have strong functional testing expertise across procure-to-pay (P2P) cycles, invoice processing, inventory reconciliation, and retail-specific business flows. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of executing test cases accurately while collaborating with cross-functional Responsibilities Testing - AP & IM :

• Validate GR / IR reconciliation, invoice postings, credit memos, and exception handling.
• Test procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, vendor invoices, and vendor payments.
• Execute test cases related to inventory movements, stock transfers, adjustments, and valuation postings.
• Perform backend SAP table validations (MSEG, BSEG, MARA, EKPO, BKPF, etc.) to ensure data accuracy and Planning & Execution :
• Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases aligned with project requirements.
• Conduct regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for AP and Inventory modules.
• Perform end-to-end testing of retail flows including DC-to-store deliveries, site-based rules, and pricing configurations.
• Validate batch jobs, document types, and configuration settings to ensure smooth processing across AP and IM Management & Reporting :
• Log, track, and validate defects using tools like JIRA, Rally, or ALM.
• Work closely with developers, functional consultants, and business stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Provide daily status reports, defect metrics, and testing progress updates to the QA lead or project Validation & Reconciliation :
• Perform SQL queries and backend checks for invoice data, vendor master, and inventory balances.
• Validate reconciliation logic between SAP modules and integrated systems (Finance, Procurement, and & Documentation :
• Work with business analysts, functional teams, and offshore / onsite stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Prepare test documentation, including test plans, execution results, and sign-off reports.
• Ensure adherence to QA standards, compliance requirements, and audit Skills & Experience :
• 36 years of experience in SAP QA / Testing with a focus on S / 4HANA for Retail.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP), Inventory Management (IM), and P2P business processes.
• Hands-on experience in validating GR / IR processes, invoice posting, stock movements, and reconciliation.
• Good understanding of SAP data tables (MSEG, BSEG, MARA, EKPO, BKPF, etc.) for backend validations.
• Proficiency in test management tools (JIRA, Rally, ALM, or similar) and SQL for data validation.
• Familiarity with retail industry processes, including DC-to-store deliveries, pricing, promotions, and site-specific rules.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, follow directions, and complete tasks on time.
• Experience working in an offshore model is a Qualifications :
• Exposure to automation frameworks (UFT, Selenium, Tricentis Tosca, etc.) is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of SAP FI, MM, and SD integration points.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery cycles.
• Prior experience in large-scale SAP Retail implementations is Notes :
• This is a hands-on tester role, not a lead or managerial position.
• Candidates must be self-starters who can take ownership of tasks with minimal supervision.
