Essential Functions

• Manage, configure, and maintain MSSQL databases, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Design and implement high-volume transactional database models for SAAS applications.
• Proactively monitor database performance and ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Work as an Application DBA, performing performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing to maintain efficient database operations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Configure and manage cloud-based database solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or similar.
• Implement cloud-based database best practices, ensuring secure and scalable deployments.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate database solutions with applications.
• Provide expertise in CI / CD pipelines for database-related deployments.
• Support and resolve deployment package issues, ensuring seamless database deployment processes.
• Contribute to automation and continuous improvement in database-related DevOps practices.
• Manage multiple database systems and ensure interoperability when required.
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and recommend improvements or migrations.
• Collaborates with other technical architects and developers to ensure cohesion of the overall software platform and work in coordination with developers and systems administrators in order to meet the needs and specifications of current projects.
• Follow all modern standards and best practices for database security, availability, integrity and recovery in compliance with company policy.
• Act as a steward and protector of the companys data stored in production databases, upholding the highest ethics and integrity in their position.
