Job description
We are seeking a qualified CBT practitioner to support either employee mental health , assist in developing mental-health-aware game content , or provide guidance for players interacting with sensitive themes in our games. This is a unique opportunity to apply clinical expertise in a creative and evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult on game content that explores psychological themes, ensuring accurate and sensitive portrayals of mental health.
- A Qualified CBT Expert for a Psychometric Gaming Company
- Work with writers, narrative designers, and UX teams to integrate CBT principles into interactive experiences or therapeutic games.
- Support research and validation for games with therapeutic claims or wellness goals.
- Help build features that promote healthy digital habits and emotional regulation for players.
- Guide support teams in handling player interactions involving mental health disclosures.
- Develop escalation procedures and referral resources for players in distress.
- Collaborate on content moderation strategies to maintain emotionally safe in-game and community environments.
Qualifications & Experience
Accredited CBT Therapist (e.g., BABCP accreditation or equivalent).Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.Experience working with young adults or individuals in high-performance / creative industries is a plus.Passion for gaming or understanding of the gaming culture and its psychological impacts.Comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams (designers, writers, engineers, HR, etc.).Excellent interpersonal, communication, and boundary-setting skills.Preferred Skills
Experience with digital therapy tools, teletherapy, or digital wellbeing platforms.Knowledge of trauma-informed care, neurodiversity, or positive psychology.Familiarity with narrative design or interactive storytelling (for product-focused roles).Ability to contribute to mental health policies or wellness strategy.What We Offer
