Location : New Delhi, India (field-based with national travel)

The role

We're looking for a high-energy, commercially driven General Manager to lead our business in India, based in New Delhi. You will be responsible for driving growth, building market presence, and ensuring operational excellence. Leading a team of Sales Managers and Technical Support staff, you will combine strong leadership with hands-on commercial acumen , guiding the business to achieve ambitious targets. This role is ideal for a go-getter with a proven track record in the IVD sector and the drive to take ownership of a fast-growing market.

The responsibilities

Lead the organisation in India, managing sales and technical support teams to deliver strong business performance.

Drive sales growth, market penetration, and profitability across India.

Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, hospitals, laboratories, and government stakeholders.

Oversee distributor management, including recruitment, development, and performance monitoring.

Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with regional and global objectives.

Ensure excellence in customer support, technical service, and product delivery.

Monitor market developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and risks.

Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and industry events.

The person

Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or related field; MBA preferred.

~15 years of experience in the IVD sector , with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role .

Strong commercial acumen and ability to deliver on growth and profitability targets.

Experience working with distributor networks in India.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Fluency in English (essential); Hindi also a plus.

Entrepreneurial mindset : results-oriented, high energy, and a self-starter.

Willingness to travel extensively across India.
