Key Responsibilities :Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration and Implementation :Lead the implementation and configuration of Guidewire PolicyCenter to ensure it meets business requirements.Configure policy types , product definitions , coverage options , and rating algorithms within PolicyCenter.Customize workflows, user interfaces, and reports to improve user experience and business efficiency.Perform end-to-end testing of configured solutions to ensure accuracy, usability, and performance.Integration and Customization :Work with IT teams to integrate Guidewire Policy Center with other systems (e.g., Claims Center , Billing Center , and external databases ).Develop custom extensions and integrations with external systems using Guidewire Studio and Java .Ensure proper configuration of Policy Center's integration with third-party applications such as document management systems , rating engines , and payment gateways .Insurance Domain Knowledge :Leverage expertise in the insurance industry to understand product requirements and business workflows, such as policy creation , endorsements , renewals , and cancellations .Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions.Stay updated on insurance regulations and ensure that Policy Center is compliant with these rules and guidelines.Testing and Quality Assurance :Lead and assist in the creation of test cases , ensuring that the application meets functional, technical, and performance requirements.Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the system is working as expected.Document and track defects , working closely with the development and business teams to resolve them.Support and Maintenance :Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Guidewire PolicyCenter users.Ensure the smooth functioning of PolicyCenter post-implementation, monitoring system performance, addressing issues, and suggesting improvements.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as applying patches, updates, and upgrades to ensure system stability and security.Training and Knowledge Transfer :Conduct training sessions for business users and technical teams on PolicyCenter functionalities and best practices.Provide knowledge transfer to team members on configuration , customization , and troubleshooting processes.Produce user manuals and training materials to assist with ongoing support.Collaboration and Reporting :Work closely with cross-functional teams including underwriting , claims , billing , and actuarial departments to ensure alignment on system features and performance.Provide status reports and documentation to management and business stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.Collaborate with external vendors and partners for additional tools or services related to PolicyCenter .Required Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , Business Administration , or a related field.3-5 years of experience working with Guidewire PolicyCenter in the insurance domain .Strong understanding of policy administration processes in the P&C insurance industry (underwriting, claims, policies, renewals, and endorsements).Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration (e.g., product models, workflows, rating rules, and document management).Experience in Guidewire Studio for developing and customizing extensions.Knowledge of Java , SQL , and Guidewire Cloud environments.Understanding of Insurance Business Processes and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Familiarity with integration technologies (e.g., SOAP , RESTful APIs , Web Services ) for connecting PolicyCenter with other systems.Skills Required
