About the Role
As part of a large-scale initiative to hire 100+ Java Full Stack Developers , we are seeking experienced Java Developer Technical Screeners to conduct in-depth technical evaluations of candidates. You will play a critical role in ensuring only the most qualified professionals move forward in the hiring process. This is a part-time, seasonal opportunity , ideal for senior engineers who enjoy assessing technical talent and influencing team growth at scale and also with fulltime jobs and wants to have an additional income.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical interviews and coding assessments for Java Full Stack developer candidates (6–12 years experience range).
- Evaluate candidates’ proficiency across backend, frontend, cloud, DevOps, and testing technologies.
- Design and administer live coding challenges , problem-solving questions, and scenario-based discussions.
- Assess candidates’ ability to design microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures .
- Evaluate practical knowledge of AWS cloud services and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / CloudFormation).
- Screen for strong DevOps skills (CI / CD, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Validate frontend expertise in Angular or React , JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Review candidates’ understanding of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Assess testing knowledge with JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, Cucumber .
- Provide structured feedback and recommendations to hiring managers and recruiting teams.
- Collaborate with recruitment operations to standardize evaluation criteria and ensure fairness across all interviews.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on Java Full Stack development experience.Prior experience conducting technical interviews or mentoring developers.Strong technical expertise across :Backend : Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs.Cloud : AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, IAM, S3), Terraform / CloudFormation.DevOps : Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.Frontend : Angular or React, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.Databases : MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB.Testing : JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, Cucumber.Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies .Excellent communication and feedback delivery skills.Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience as a Technical Screener, Interviewer, or Tech Lead .Exposure to serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Step Functions).Experience with messaging / streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ).Strong ability to differentiate between theoretical knowledge and real-world hands-on experience .Compensation & Engagement
