Job Title :

Software Engineer I - Backend

Location : Bengaluru

Job Description :

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Backend Software Engineer with expertise in Node.js to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance backend systems, designing RESTful APIs, GraphQl, integrating with databases and caching layers, and deploying code using modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js

Build and integrate RESTful APIs

Good knowledge on Microservice Architecture

Manage data models and caching mechanisms with RDBMS

Develop and maintain with Complex Systems

Develop and maintain with Kafka, Elasticsearch Etc

Containerize applications using Docker and support CI / CD pipelines

Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and resilience

Debug and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement robust solutions

Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following best practices

Technical Skills :

Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js

Hands-on experience with RDBMS

Good to have :

Familiarity with Technologies like Kafka, AWS, Elasticsearch, GraphQl

Knowledge of Docker for containerization

Understanding of CI / CD processes and tools

Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha

Proficient in Git and version control best practices

Soft Skills :

Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ownership-driven with a proactive attitude

Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams is a plus

Education & Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

4+ years of backend development experience with the Node.js stack
