🔹 About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Banner DBA to support and manage our Ellucian Banner® ERP environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration, Banner ERP (Banner 9), and related integration tools. This role requires expertise in performance tuning, upgrades, and system optimization while ensuring seamless ERP functionality.

🔹 Key Responsibilities :

Install, configure, and upgrade Ellucian Banner® ERP and related tools.
Provide full lifecycle support for Banner ERP and Oracle environments (Oracle 19c).
Manage database & application installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and cloning.
Perform proactive system performance monitoring & tuning (AWR, ASH, optimization).
Implement Disaster Recovery strategies and ensure high system availability.
Work with Ellucian tools (ESM, Application Navigator, BEIS, Ethos Identity, Workflow, Degree Works, ePrint).
Support integration with 3rd-party applications (e.g., AppWorx, Evisions, Canvas LMS).
Configure and manage Tomcat / WebLogic environments.
Develop shell scripts on RHEL 8 / Linux to automate tasks.
Ensure compliance with SAFE (Scaled Agile Framework) and audit standards.

🔹 Key Skills & Qualifications :

5+ years of experience with Ellucian Banner® software suite (Banner 9 preferred).

Strong Oracle DBA skills (RMAN, OEM, Dataguard, PL / SQL scripting).

Hands-on with Tomcat & WebLogic administration .

Experience in database backup / recovery, disaster recovery, and system performance tuning.

Strong knowledge of Linux / RHEL 8 scripting.

Exposure to Single Sign-On (SSO), Banner 9 Admin Pages, Ethos Identity .

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Experience with observability tools (New Relic preferred).
