IT- Sr Systems Engineer

Description

Design, write, and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, VBScript, .NET to streamline administrative and operational tasks.

Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, and monitoring of Windows Servers and desktop environments.

Work with system administrators to identify automation opportunities and implement reliable, scalable solutions.

Automate O365 administrative activities using Graph APIs.

Support integration of scripting with deployment pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools.

Create and maintain documentation for scripts, processes, and automation workflows.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation scripts and scheduled tasks.

Participate in automation of CI / CD processes and infrastructure as part of larger DevOps initiatives.

Support security and compliance initiatives through automated compliance, patching, logging, and auditing.

Support asset management and compliance through automation and auditing.

Requirements :

5+ years of experience with Windows scripting - PowerShell, Python.

Experience automation of routine IT tasks (account provisioning / deprovisioning, patching / security tools compliance reporting / remediation)

Understanding of scripting best practices, version control (Git), and code modularity.

Familiarity with scripting for Windows Task Scheduler, WMI, and COM objects.

Exposure to Azure automation or scripting in cloud environments.

Experience integrating scripts with tools like SCCM, Azure Automation, or Ansible (Windows modules).

Basic windows administration skills, knowledge on TCP / IP, DNS

Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Education :

BE / BTech / ME / MTech in any stream or equivalent
