Backend Systems Engineer

Job descriptionDevelop backend features and REST APIs using Python Work with Gen-AI / LLMs - build AI agents and automation workflows Work on live products handling real production load (our matchmaking platform processes millions of match pairs and interactions daily) Validate and test features, debug issues, implement fixes Handle deployments and basic AWS server management Collaborate with team on full-stack features 2-4 years backend development experience Strong Python fundamentals (we use AI tools extensively - you don't need to memorize syntax, but should understand core concepts) Experience with any backend framework : FastAPI / Django / Flask Good understanding of databases : SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB preferred) Ability to debug and solve problems independently Basic HTML / CSS, JavaScript, or React knowledge Familiarity with modern AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) AWS, server management, or DevOps exposure Any exposure to Gen-AI / LLMs (even personal projects) Product Company Experience : You'll work on live products, and learn how to handle production load and how to build features that masses use daily. Gen-AI Focus : Gain hands-on experience with Gen-AI / LLMs - from building AI agents to integrating language models in production systems. Work with prompts, embeddings, RAG systems, and agentic AI workflows. Modern Development : We use Cursor IDE and AI coding tools for development. We value strong fundamentals and problem-solving ability over memorizing syntax. Work on live products alongside enterprise projects Learn Gen-AI / LLM development hands-on in production environments Direct collaboration with founders and senior engineers In-office setup for fast learning and growth Competitive salary for Ahmedabad market
