The ideal candidate not only builds APIs and integrations but also has strong skills in optimizing performance and scalability .Responsibilities Build and maintain Python backend systems and APIs (FastAPI, Flask, Django).Integrate with medical devices and ensure smooth, reliable data flows.Work on AI integrations (ML models, SDKs, APIs).Handle performance optimization in large-scale processes (e.g., PDF generation, memory-heavy workloads, concurrency).Design systems that are robust, efficient, and production-ready at scale .Collaborate with AI researchers, clinicians, and product teams to validate solutions.Ensure compliance with medical data standards and regulations .Contribute to research prototypes and technical papers.Requirements 4+ years of Python development experience .Strong in Python 3.x and frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django).Proven experience with performance optimization (profiling, memory management, async processing, multiprocessing).Hands-on with PDF / image processing pipelines and scaling such workflows.Familiar with medical device data handling (HL7, DICOM, Bluetooth / USB APIs, or similar).Exposure to AI / ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face) or AI API integrations.Strong database experience ( PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TimescaleDB ).Hands-on with Docker, CI / CD, and cloud deployment (AWS / GCP / Azure) .Nice to Have Knowledge of real-time data streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT).Exposure to healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 13485).Experience with scaling applications in high-load environments.Contributions to research publications or open-source projects .This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about healthcare + AI and skilled at making systems run fast and reliable at scale .
