Key Responsibilities :
- Design, model, rig, and animate 3D avatars suitable for integration with RealityKit, Unity, and other XR platforms.
- Develop realistic and expressive facial animations with precise lip sync using blend shapes and visemes.
- Create smooth and natural body animations including postures, hand gestures, shoulder movements, and other expressive motions.
- Create natural environments like internal meeting rooms, aircraft interior with proper lightings and setup.
- Handling proper lighting and shadows for the environments and the avatars
- Collaborate with XR developers to ensure animations integrate seamlessly with speech inputs and AI-driven avatar interactions.
- Optimize 3D assets and animations for performance on mobile XR devices without compromising quality.
- Utilize Blender for creating, editing, and refining animations; leverage other tools as necessary to enhance the workflow.
- Maintain organized asset libraries and documentation for ease of use and future updates.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in 3D modeling, animation, and XR development.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including UX / UI designers, developers, and AI specialists.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
3+ years of professional experience in 3D modeling, rigging, and animation for digital avatars.Proficiency in Blender for 3D design and animation; experience with 3ds max is a must. Experience with other tools such as Maya, or MotionBuilder is a plus.Strong understanding of lip sync techniques, blend shapes, and facial rigging to animate speech realistically.Expertise in animating body language including hand gestures, posture, shoulder, and head movements.Experience creating animations specifically optimized for XR platforms like RealityKit and Unity.Ability to export and prepare assets compatible with iOS AR and Unity XR environments.Familiarity with FBX, USDZ, or other common 3D file formats and pipelines.Solid knowledge of anatomy, motion dynamics, and how to translate them into realistic avatar behavior.Strong collaboration and communication skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working on AR / VR / XR projects with avatar-driven interactions.Knowledge of scripting or using Unity’s Animator Controller and Timeline for animation control.Familiarity with speech-to-text / text-to-speech (STT / TTS) integration and how it affects avatar animation.Background in game development or interactive media.Understanding of performance optimization for mobile XR platforms.Tools & Technologies :
